West Sedona is our personal top pick for where to stay in Sedona because it has easy access to most of the heavily trafficked hikes in town, including Devils Bridge Trail, Soldier Pass Trail and Boynton Canyon Trail to Subway Cave, plus hotels are cheaper on average when compared to Uptown Sedona.
Every minute counts in the morning to grab a coveted trailhead parking spot. Staying in West Sedona allows you to set a later alarm, grab a coffee and be at a trailhead by sunrise more easily than all other areas around Sedona. But most crucially, staying in West Sedona saves money versus Uptown.
