Ookla data shows that Android devices run 59% faster on the Smart network (all technologies) and 35% faster on Smart LTE compared to the next top competitor network.
Apple devices, on the other hand, were 75% faster on the Smart network (all technologies), 57% faster on Smart 5G, and 56% faster on Smart 4G/LTE. Meanwhile, the iPhone was 75% faster on the Smart network (all technologies) and 57% faster on Smart 5G and 4G/LTE.
Finally, Samsung devices were 69% faster on Smart network (all technologies), 58% faster on Smart 4G/LTE, and 45% faster on Smart 5G.

The latest Ookla figures come on the heels of Smart’s landmark recognition of Best Mobile Network in the Philippines** – the first and only local mobile operator to receive the Ookla award since the Speedtest Awards™ 2017 began.
To receive this elusive recognition, Smart must top two key Ookla Speedtest award categories in Q1-Q2 2022, namely “Fastest Mobile Network” and “Best Mobile Coverage”. Smart was the “fastest mobile network” with a speed score of 62.22, while its closest competitor scored 32.48. Smart also dominated the “Best Mobile Coverage” category with a coverage of 794, beating its closest competitor with a coverage of 732.
